I won the final of the Dayton Open against Sarah Kippax in 3 games. Again, I faced a tough opening game and won 11/9. The next two games, I volleyed better and was more free to attack the ball winning comfortably. It has been a tough week, both physically and mentally and I am very happy to come away with a win. I go back to New York for 4 days then head out to India for the next event. xx

Dayton Open - Semi final

I won my semi final in 3 games against Joelle King of New Zealand. The last time we played, I lost in 5 games so I was very amped for the match today. I also knew that it was going to be a very touch match as Joelle is very fit and gets alot of balls back. And so it went in the first game. I followed for most of the first game, but I was able to claw back and win 14/12. Joelle came out in the second a bit flustered and I was able to capitalise on that, winning the second game comfortably. She gained a little bit of composure in the third, but I managed to get onto the volley well and stay infront, winning the third 11/7. Another tough round and I am very happy to be through to the final tomorrow against Sarah Kippax from England. xx

I played Alana Miller in the quarter finals of the Dayton Open. After going down 4-0 in the first game, I came back to win 11/6. In the second, I slacked off on pace of the match and lost the second easily. After some great advice from coach pittock, I was able to get back on track and win the third. The fourth was tight and I managed to scrape through 12/10. I now play Joelle King in the semi tomorrow at 12.20pm. xx

Round 1 of the Dayton Open saw me drawn against my Australian team mate and training partner, Amelia Pittock. Its hard to play against your friends, so mentally was a difficult game. Amelia played well and it was a tough 3/1 win. Im glad to get rid of the first round nerves and glad to get through to the quarter finals against Alana Miller tomorrow night. xx
